Hello? Echo… echo… echo…

I was looking at my archives, and I realized that man, my blog posting habits have crashed and burned. I guess, to be fair, I’ve separated my content a little bit by opening a special craft blog over at katili*made and posting some old stories over at Names Changed*, but even if you add those posts, I’ve still been awfully quiet. I’ve gotten boring in my old age and spend a lot of time at home.

But, I do want to get my blog back to at least a fraction of it’s former glory! It’s requiring some back end effort and reorganization.

For starters, I’m in the process of switching the blog over to WordPress. I find that ExpressionEngine is now a bit overkill for this site, and I think I’d rather use it for my portfolio. WordPress is super easy to run a blog out of, and I’m looking forward to the final switch. I’ll let you know when it’s done, it’s still in a sandbox being configured and the such.

Obviously I need to post more. To help kick-start good blogging habits, I’ve decided to participate in NaBloPoMo.. we’ll see if I can post daily AND keep up with my NaNoWriMo novel. I might explode before December!

That’s all for today, but we’ll see what tomorrow brings. I need a nap, I had a busy weekend.

katili*made

I’m a little bit crafty at times, and lately, I’ve been making more stuff. Most of it is for me, and I’ve always wanted to share more of it, but I don’t feel like Kat Scratch Fever is the place for it. So, I made a craft blog, where I can post all I want about crafts! Sounds good to me. If you’re interested in following along with my crafting adventures, check out the katili*made blog!

To go along with that, there’s also the more profit-driven portion, also known as the Etsy Shop. And, because I’m a total goober, there’s also the official katili*made Twitter account, Facebook page, and Flickr gallery. Follow any/all of those at will.

I figure there might be the occasional Hobby topic on here, just to keep those of you that don’t follow in the loop, but not often.

Still Cleaning Up

Yep, so like I said in the closing paragraph of Spring Time!, moving servers is a HUGE headache. I have a laundry list of things that don’t work at all, work sometimes, will work after I completely restructure things, are stuck somewhere in the DNS world, etc etc etc.

Right now I’m working on why removing index.php from my URL’s works on some browsers and not others, and trying to figure out why the hell it was working for a day and then stopped working when I wasn’t even touching the sites at all.

Subdomains don’t work as easily as they used to, my email has to be outsourced, I don’t have a cpanel and nothing is where I expect it to be. It’s driving me up the wall.

I’m looking forward to everything being done, I can’t even tell you how close I am to ripping out all my hair. Just a status update. I’m going out of town this weekend and really hoping my websites don’t self destruct.

Names Changed* – New Project

So, the other day when I was cleaning/packing, I had something of a nervous tick come up out of nowhere, and I wouldn’t stop telling stories about old friends of mine. Pod suggested starting a blog where I could tell these old stories, since Kat Scratch Fever is really more a “now” blog than a “then” blog.

So, I started a new blog. Yea, I know, I’m addicted.

Names Changed* is now up and running and open. There’s only 2 entries so far, and I don’t know how often it’ll be updated, but the stories will be interesting. It’ll give some insight as to how I got where I am today.

Sorry for RSS Spam

So, since Google acquired FeedBurner, which is what I use for my feeds, the feeds are being migrated to a new server or some jazz like that. Apparently the transfer of my feed is not going smoothly, and so it’s been repropogated or something a couple of times, which means my entries keep showing up as new on my feed, which then means it winds up in your feed readers multiple times.

Sorry about that :(

Hopefully it’ll be sorted out soon… I don’t think there’s anything I can do to help though.

Actually. It might help if you change your subscription for my site from http://feeds.feedburner.com/katscratchfever to http://feeds2.feedburner.com/katscratchfever (some RSS readers may be having a problem with the temporary redirect from the old URL to the new one).
