Weekend Recap!

It was a good weekend. Not quite as cool as last weekend (because really, you can’t beat front row seats to a killer concert and having your mom buy all your drinks) but still good!

Friday night me and Sonia were on the guestlist at The Red Buddha thanks to one of the guys at work. It was a cute place but drinks were expensive and there were no cute guys so then we left and went to La Poubelle where we sat around and had more drinks and talked about uninteresting-boys and the such. Then we called a bunch of people and giggled like maniacs. Theeeen we went to Denny’s (YAY KATIE AND SONIA GO TO DENNY’S!!!11) and almost fell asleep on the table. It was cool. I love Sonia :love:

The Saturday morning me and Jeff watched The Bourne Identity for the millionth time (I love that movie) and ate blueberry french toast sticks aaaand then I went to a party at my uncle’s house (his baby’s baptism) and I swear he had to have had a good 150 people there. I don’t even think I *know* 150 people, let alone 150 people that would come to my parties. Anyway, one of my aunt-in-laws family members brought the best pork on earth but nobody would tell me where you can get a whole pig like that. I ate my own body weight, philipino people sure know how to cook I had to ask what everything was though before I ate it.. I passed on the quail eggs.

Also, St Paulie Girl has to be the only beer on earth that’s tolerable without putting anything in it. Actually, Red Stripe is ok too I guess. So we hung out with family and my uncle’s air traffic controller friends, they were all really cool. I kept losing track of which husband belonged to which wife and who’s kid was whose though haha. They were all really cool people.

Anyway I got home way later than I planned (I expected to leave early cause my grandma gets tired, but she was watching the Dodger game). I think when I got home me and Jeff watched a couple episodes of House (ok I watched one then fell asleep with my head in his lap during the second one).

Yesterday I slept until 1pm and then we did some cleaning, then ate a whole pizza and watched more House and had mango malibu with sprite.

I hope I missed the question that had 2 answers that mean the EXACT SAME THING so that I can argue about that and get 98% :D

Edit: Ok, 1 of the ones I missed, I really missed, and the other one was a question that had the wrong answer coded. So I got a 98% (and yes, I got the highest score in the class!) Also, I’m obnoxious and took the in class part and, (in the words of Rob) tied it down, listened to it scream, beat it, cut it’s head off, and handed it in to the teacher. In other words, I annalihated it. :D

PS: the new coffee machine is already busted.

Scammers Suck but my Coffee Machine ROCKS

So somebody in Africa tried to scam Jeff out of his iPod on ebay today. Luckily, Jeff is a smart boy and consulted me first. “Katie this person wanted me to end it off ebay but I said no so they bid on it and I got a reciept saying I have money but I can’t find it” *peaks* It’s a bogus email and they clicked the “payment sent” button on ebay, but ebay put a little hourglass icon instead of money, and paypal has no record. “Jeff. It’s a scam. Keep the iPod.” People suck.

In other news, we got a new coffee machine at work and this thing is AWESOME.  :coffee:  It brews you one cup at a time, so that the same person doesn’t keep making a big pot of the most nasty tasting coffee on earth (I swear, throwing dirt into a cup of hot water would taste better) and I can pick light brew, AND you can do decaf or half-caf. It also makes hot chocolate and cafe mochas which are better if you top them off with milk. Brian is about ready to throw the thing out the door though cause he sits so close to the break room he hears the thing every time somebody walks in there. Like me haha.

And, I cleaned up my Q*Bee Quilt. It’s sad really, I’ve been a member for like, 2 years, and after I cleaned out all the people that don’t exist anymore, I have like, 6 patches left. Time to trade like a maniac. Those of you that aren’t members should go join It’s cute and fun and yes. I said so. Sign up!

OH EM GEE!!!!!

Ok yeah, I know, my 7 facts and my pink layout are late. Sorry. I’ll get to those soon. I was not even home more than 8 hours all weekend. I hardly even slept.

I MUST TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT!

Saturday was my Shinedown/ROB ZOMBIE/Godsmack show. SUH-WEET! My car made it all the way to Irvine and back, I was pleased.

So me and my mom (… YES MY MOM. She’s way cooler than you, hah) got there at like, 2:30 (I had to give my car plenty of time to be stupid) and hung out in the parking lot with the other early people. I plucked my eyebrows and they look okay now. Then at like, 4:15 we were able to check in and we walked to the pre-party place and had free beer :cheers:  and food. They had REALLY YUMMY TERIYAKI MEATBALLS! :D And tons of fruit and awesome brownies.

So then Godsmack came over and took pictures with us, and Sully wished me a happy birthday cause my mom told him the show was my birthday gift. Then I got a bag with a wrist band and a teeshirt and an autographed photo of the band and stuff like that.

Aaaand then somebody found out that there were booths with real alchohol and my mom bought me a mini-margarita (by mini, I mean the girl put only a couple drops of everything in with the tequila haha). We hung out with the pre-party people a while longer, then bought rum and cokes and kettle corn and went to look for our seats.

…. WE HAD FRONT ROW SEATS. FRONT ROW!!!  For as many shows as I go to, I have NEVER had front row seats. It was awesome. I was so close my stupid camera phone actually got fairly decent shots. Check the moblog for the concert shots. Also, there’s an audiopost on the.. audioblog (seriously, I told you guys I was addicted to the blogs and stuff).

Shinedown was really good, I wish I had known more of their stuff. They did do Save Me at least, which is the only song I really know. Someone save me if you will, take away, all these pills :music:

Then ROB ZOMBIE came on! He had go-go dancers and real fireballs and a giant alien robot and he ran down my row and I touched him. Yeeeeeep! Most of the songs he did were on the CD I had been listening to on my way to the show. It was awesome.

Then when Godsmack came on I snuck down into the pit. Dude. It was so easy, I literally just stepped over the little red bar. And I fell on my butt cause someone stepped on me, and I got called a brave little lady. I laughed at the guy and was like, “… are you kidding, this is the calmest pit I’ve been into in.. actually, ever.” Yep. But it was my favorite kind where it’s just people running into eachother instead of arms and legs flying all over.

Words cannot express how awesome the show was. I feel sorry for all of you that were not there

The Absent Mind Strikes Again

So. Hahaha. I have this $80 bookthat I’m supposed to buy for my HTML class and I was trying to avoid buying it cause I already know all the stuff we’re going over… but alas, all the assignments are straight out of the book so I need it. So I found a copy on EBAY for $20.. and I think, “SWEET!!!!!” so I click the BIN button. My book turns up today.. it’s 125 pages. MY book is… uhm, over 500? WTF?! So I click back to my auction.. yeah. It’s the brief version. It has the first 2 chapters. So it’s not even a useful cheap! OH. EM. GEE.

I mean, if it like, ONLY had the review instructions in it, it’d be perfect. That’d be a great definition of the word “Brief”. But the first 2 chapters?! WHO HAS ANY USE FOR THAT?!?!?!?!??!?!111

So the description in the auction is perfect, I just didn’t read that part. I can’t even be annoyed at the seller! THIS SUCKS.
