Friday’s Feast – 121 – Week 15

Appetizer: Which language would you like to learn and why?
I always say I’m going to learn Italian, which I guess I could but it’s so similar to Spanish which I already speak… I think I’d like to learn russian, I like the way it sounds. At least how my piano teacher spoke it.

Soup: What’s the funniest thing you’ve heard or read so far this week?
12 year old arrested for opening Christmas gift. The headline did it. The story itself is.. well, just read it.

Salad: Which movie was so bad you couldn’t watch the whole thing?
Garden State. Oh. Em. Gee. SO BORING!!!

Main Course: If there were a holiday in your honor that didn’t use your actual name, what would the day be called?
Take Your Blythe to Work Day :D

Dessert: Name one movie which is coming out soon that you would like to see.
Oh I don’t know any that are coming out but I do want to see… Stranger than Fiction.

Our students covered that arrest for our daily news show at school on Wednesday!  That WAS funny!  Gotta give the mom some credit though… at least she’s TRYING to do something to control her son’s behavior!

This story is unbelivable ! How is that possible, they must both be crazy and be put in a mad house. I am just calculating when the great grandma got her child, I am 63 too, lol ! That’s now also my laugh of the day !

Garden State is so boring! I agree! My daughter loves it. And it’s kind of sad to me, I love Natalie Portman.

I liked Garden State. My “too boring to watch” film that everyone else loves is Lost in Translation.

Lost in Translation left me thinking WTF are people so enraptured about? I am half Japanese and lived there when I was a kid (military brat). I met my hubby there when we were in high school. So we watched it with the hopes we’d see more of Japan than it really showed us and it bored us to death. BUT, (Pee Wee was right, everyone has a big but!) I watched it a second time when it was on cable, and it got better. Not great, certainly not Oscar award for Best Screenplay great, IMO, but still entertaining.
