This is it! I made it!
I’m going to write this, then take Vinz out to potty, then SLEEEP at long last!

I’m quite surprised at how much harder 24 hours of blogging is than I thought it would be. My brain is just like.. NOT THERE hahahaha. That said, I do think I’ll be participating again next year.

I also met a lot of cool people that I’d like to keep in touch with outside of the ‘thon.

I’m looking around my room and surveying the messiness of it. My eyes just hit my suitcase.

Oh yeah, I should unpack huh?

Sleep soon. Then I have to eventually get up and clean some, and do laundry. But that’s all in a far, far away place.

Is it normal to not unpack for like, 5 days?

A recipe even the Katie’s of the world can handle (ie: those that cannot cook!), it’s really tasty.

I have a bruise on my knee. I’m tired and cold and hungry but not hungry. My tooth feels weird and I need to sneeze.
I’m whiney when I’m tired.

Oh man. I am REALLY tired.
And not feeling well again. I had been doing kind of sort of ok but now I’m like.. gaaaaaaaaaaah bleh.

I definitely have to go with my friends and family. They’re awesome ♥ Sonia participates in all my silly little whims and has adventures with me. Jeff takes care of me and lights the stove and sings happy birthday to me. My momma leaves me silly comments. Harlan supplies me with all sorts of things I need to be a big geek (yay!). Tom makes sure I don’t starve to death and that I’m caffeinated often enough to not go postal. My grandma is my safety net. And everybody else is awesome too. Without them, I’d have next to nothing.

You may remember me mentioning a minor tragedy that had befallen me.

Well. The tragedy is no more! Sonia located my other earring and they are both safely back in my ears :D

I was actually kind of surprised at the fact that I had to work to get them back in, and they’d only been out about 20 hours. I would have liked to put a little Vaseline on them but I don’t have any, so I cleaned them with rubbing alchohol and that was that.

Yay earrings! I need to go buy new backs for them I guess.

I know I had an entry all planned out in my head but now that I was almost ready to post it, the connectors in my brain are like, “Hey, we should be sleeping right now, I forgot!” WHATEVER BRAIN! *useless*

So. I’m now listening to Bad 80’s Music. “There was a lot of it”.
The last.fm global tags have not let me down.

George Lopez.. he’s the funniest guy ever. I think it’s because I know what he’s talking about with a lot of his routine things.

I grew up right next to a park. We liked to have birthday parties and family reunions and the such there. Well. Nobody ever wanted to pay however much it was you had to pay to keep tables and a bbq pit open. They were first come first serve if there were no reservations.

... I recall spending a lot of time sitting on the counter watching the grill :p

So me and Sonia just made some hot dogs, and I was picking chips, and I found doritos. See last entry for details

Making hot dogs was an adventure. We had our buns ready and were all set to put the hot dogs in them when I realized that I didn’t have a fork to stab them with. So I used a paring knife.. didn’t work. So Sonia dives in with a spoon…

“... since when is making hot dogs so complicated?!”
“... since WE made them!”

Bacon is good. Bacon wrapped around other good foods is REALLY good. Thank you Capt Obvious

Let’s start with bacon wrapped scallops. I don’t even like scallops. But Py made them once and wrapped them in bacon.. instant yumminess. Just toss it on top of some mashed potatos and viola, it even looks pretty.

A google search brought up some interesting combinations too. Like.. bacon wrapped prunes. I won’t knock it cause I haven’t tried it.. but it really doesn’t sound too great hah.

Bacon wrapped bbq shrimp.. that sounds good. Bacon wrapped steak.. also sounds good. Bacon wrapped hambuger.. now we’re talking!

And then, there is the smoked corn with a piece of bacon wrapped around it. I hear you can eat the bacon but it *looked* raw so I never tried. But cooking it like that makes the corn really tasty.

... now I’m hungry. I have no bacon :(

Sonia just mentioned bacon wrapped hot dogs.. OMG YUM! I have hot dogs. But still no bacon.

This topic suggested by my momma who is horribly amused by the fact that my dog eats everything.

So the other day when I came home from vacation, Sonia came over to hang out and pick up her dolly that I had taken with me. We’re hanging out in the bedroom and Vinz is behind me playing with his squeaky toy. After a while, he got bored and went out into the living room. I was about to go get him, but he came back by himself with his little rope. I thought, “Oh awesome, I’m so proud, he’s finally learning what’s ok to chew!” ... never think that about a puppy. EVER.

Shortly after, we go out into the living room and find.. DOLL HANDS AND FEET ALL OVER. He had eaten the hands and feet off of 2 of our dolls. Mind you, my doll has a face value of $150+ (hard to say for sure with the customs) and Sonia’s is over $300.

We of course, panic.

At the end of the day it’s not a huge deal because the heads and hair were fine, and the bodies only run about $25 each.. BUT STILL! GAH!

My mom ever so graciously gave me the recipe for the Pineapple Chicken Rice I had mentioned earlier! Mom rocks ♥

Ingredients:

Oil
1 C Rice
1 1/2 C Chicken Broth

4 Boneless Chicken Breasts (sliced or diced)
2 C sliced celery
1 C diced onion
1/2 C diced green bell pepper
2 TBSP soy sauce

1 can of pineapple rings in heavy syrup
1 chicken bouillon cube

Directions:

In a casserole pan, heat some oil, add rice, stir until brown. Add chicken broth. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour.

In a frying pan, using 2 TBSP of oil, lightly brown chicken. Add celery, onion, green bell pepper and soy sauce.

In a separate pan, heat 1 C of pineapple syrup (from the can of pineapple) and dissolve the bouillon cube in it. Add to chicken mixture, Cover and simmer for 5 mins. Toss this in with the rice and top with the pineapple slices.

Heat in oven.

Tonight - NKOTB

Since I moved, I’ve been shopping at Ralphs. I’ve yet to locate an Albertsons and Ralphs is close.

I don’t like Ralphs. The aisles are not really organized in a comprehensive way. They cost more most of the time. Their store brand is not as good.

... AND THEY DON’T EVEN CARRY TRES LECHES CAKES!! How very tragic.

I made the mistake of asking AIM Chat for post topics Nikki suggested beef. I took the libery of broadening the topic a little.

Let’s talk cows!

I love cows. They are responsible for such yummy things like hamburgers, beef jerky, and steaks of all kinds. They also give milk! I love milk. I love meatballs, I love hamburgers (well done please), I love ground beef with potatos, spaghetti sauce with meat… all cow! And without milk I could not enjoy my cereal. Or strawberry milk. Or ice cream, oh noes!

So I hereby dedicate this entry to cows. Cheers!

I love me my concerts

The last one I went to was Muse. OMG it was amazing. Definetly quite an experience.
Before that I saw.. Atreyu, Thrice, Story of the Year, Avenged Sevenfold, and some other bands.

Two words: MOSH PIT!

Every time I start a post, I think “Ok when I finish I’m going to RUN to my car and speed to the store and get something to eat!!!” and EVERYTIME I get distracted. And I really do need the full half hour to get there :| Boo.

I want some fruit. And some yogurt.
