4 – A Story from When I Was A Kid

When I was little, I was deathly afraid of dragonflies. I would scream bloody murder if one came within 5 feet of me.

My mom tried to tell me that they were horses for fairies but I never believed it.

I remember once I was out side playing in my kiddie pool when a dragonfly swung by—I guess they’re attracted to water or something. I leaped from the pool and ran inside and cried.

I was a strange kid.

As a kid I was deathly afraid of small dogs. The smaller they were, the more afraid I was. Chihuahuas would leave me literally paralysed with fear. I’d cry, but couldn’t scream.

I have a small dog.. he’s gotten bigger than I was expecting though, he’s 9.5 pounds now and I think he was supposed to stop growing at 8.
